  • HOW DOES IT WORK?

    About the Customer Service Awards

The awards are open to everyone in all the Channel Islands: Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Herm and Sark.

Comments from the previous Customer Service Awards

For me, customer service is what makes a customer really loyal.  Anyone can sell you something – and whilst the product and price are important, it is the people who deliver it that make the difference.  Customers want to buy from businesses who have happy teams that genuinely care about them – not just someone selling them something.
The most important thing for business leaders is to hire team members who care about people and to support them so they are happy and skilled at what they do – they can then look after their customers. Having the right team means that customers become happier and everyone’s day is made that little bit happier.

Recognising excellent customer service across Jersey matters because every great interaction enriches the experience for visitors and residents alike, highlights the people whose dedication makes our island’s services stand out, and strengthens the performance of local businesses. Even small, low‑cost acts of exceptional service can create loyal customers — and that loyalty ultimately drives stronger revenue and more resilient businesses.

There are two different types of award:
    Public nominations
Each year, the general public is asked to nominate individuals and/ or teams in a wide variety of different industry sectors who they feel has given them excellent customer service. This can range from a self-employed gardener, to a supermarket worker, to a team in a high street bank; if you remember them for the right reasons, and they made you feel ‘WOW’, then they deserve your nomination.
    Corporate submissions
Companies can submit their own entries in a number of categories each year and full details are announced at the start of the nomination period. Winning can bring a number of advantages, including enhanced publicity, peer recognition, attraction of quality staff and recognition brings a clear advantage against competitors.

The Jersey and Guernsey Customer Service Awards are an annual event designed to celebrate customer service excellence in the Channel Islands. They recognise individuals and teams working in all industry sectors for going that extra mile.

    Nominations open 1st May 2026
